Frequently asked questions
Where does the backlink data come from?
Results come from DataForSEO's link index — the same source Glot Rank's in-app backlink research uses. The index is continuously updated, so numbers may differ slightly from tools that crawl on their own.
How many backlinks can I see for free?
The free version shows a domain's summary metrics and its top 15 backlinks (one per referring domain, ordered by domain strength). Sign up for Glot Rank to page through the full list, review referring domains and anchor text, filter spam links, and export your data.
Can I check a competitor's backlinks?
Yes. Enter your own domain, a competitor's domain, or any site you're evaluating for link partnerships. Backlinks are public web data — no site ownership verification needed.
What is domain authority?
Domain authority is a 0-100 score of how strong a domain's backlink profile is, similar to Domain Authority in other tools. A higher score means more, stronger links pointing at the domain.
